How to use

After brewing, lift out the filter cone and place the Glass Coffeemaker Cover into the top of your CHEMEX. The glass seals the carafe, letting you pour cup after cup without flavour drift, oxidation, or rapid temperature loss. Especially useful for slow morning drinkers, work-from-home brewers nursing a single batch, or hosting situations where you want a freshly brewed carafe to hold up over an hour.                                                       

Why glass over silicone or plastic

Silicone and plastic covers can absorb coffee oils over time, eventually imparting off-flavours into clean batches. Glass stays neutral — exactly what specialty coffee deserves. Borosilicate also handles thermal shock, so it can move between fridge-cold pour-over batches and freshly brewed hot coffee without cracking.
